Tijuana's JL Blues Band

Tijuana's JL Blues Band

JL Blues Project started in 2015 with the singular purpose of providing younger musicians a chance to get up on stage and play blues for a crowd and for them to help preserve the blues for future generations.

Leader Jacko Levy and the members of this project have all contributed to the cultural music scene in Baja. Many musicians of all ages have played with this band. The latest version of the band is composed of well-known veterans of the Tijuana music scene including great blues singer, Jahael P. Marshall, highly respected guitar player, Diablito Villegas, drummer Mingo Macias and his bass playing brother, Cuco, have been performing for almost 40 years.

Tony Perreta, one of the best bass players around and harmonica ace, Pepe Madrigal.
